AI and Just Decorate
We've been building this since before it was obvious.
Five years of testing every tool, keeping what works, and solving a problem the design industry still hasn't fully cracked. Here's the honest story — and where we're going next. We're sharing this because we want you involved.
Millions of products exist. A fraction are actually good. A fraction of those work for any given room. And almost none come with honest guidance on what kills a space — wrong scale, a finish that fights the light, a piece that photographs beautifully and disappears in person.
We've been building against that problem since July 25, 2020. Not because AI was trending. Because our clients were losing weeks in the research phase alone — scrolling, second-guessing, returning things, starting over. The gap wasn't information. It was seeing everything together, fast enough to actually decide.
So we tested everything. Not to automate design. To compress the distance between "I don't know what I want" and "that's exactly it."
We've mastered showing what a room will look like well enough to feel confident and present it. Now we're investing in the next hard problem: using AI to find and validate the right products.
We're building templating requirements for rooms — detailed enough that a coordinator can walk into any store, check a product in person, and know immediately whether it makes the cut. Not what to get. What to walk away from, and why. That judgment is what our books of curated products are built on, and it's what we're now working to encode so it works for everyone.
We're just getting started. Follow along — this roadmap is yours too.
Design should be simple.
